Surprise, it’s Another iPad! CNET, TechCrunch Showcase NextWorth’s Trade-In Spike

Nowadays, Apple has a hard time surprising the omniscient early adopters of technology. It seems like most people know all of the new product details even before the invitations are sent. This time around, Apple earned back its street cred, announcing a new iPad 4 in addition to the expected iPad Mini on Tuesday, October 23.

As it turns out, there are more early adopters out there than anyone anticipated. Consumers wasted no time in trading in their existing iPads to get their hands on the new devices, as NextWorth saw a 1,015% increase in iPad trades on Tuesday. The majority (66%) of devices traded in being the iPad 3, released only seven months ago!

The media took notice as well, with CNET and TechCrunch posting about NextWorth’s super spike in trade-ins.
