As 2011 winds down, it’s time to start making goals for the new year. These can be anything from learning a new skill to losing a few pounds.
If you’re not sure what to put on your list of resolutions this year, we have a few suggestions:
Travel: Never seen the ocean? Want to stand in four states at once? No matter how near or far your desired travel destination is, make it a goal this year to see it. You only live once, so get out and see what’s out there!
Read a book each Month: Whether it’s paperback, hardback or an eBook, resolve to actually read several books this year. How long has it been since you’ve done that? Check out the New York Times Best Sellers list for some inspiration.
Learn Something New: Whether it’s learning a new language or how to ballroom dance, there are lots of easy ways to learn new skills. You could download podcasts to your iPod or iPhone, buy a DVD or listen to a CD while driving to and from work. You’re never too old to learn something new.
Clean out the Closets: How much junk do you have shoved in closets, drawers or under the bed? Take time this year to clean those areas—then donate, sell or reuse the things you find. Goodwill and the Salvation Army are great places to donate clothes or home goods and, of course, we’ll buy the electronics you find!
